From a few tiny seeds, great things can grow

Quantity:

This gift gives families living in poverty the seeds and training so they can grow nutritious vegetables such as carrots, onions and tomatoes right by their house. The harvested produce will keep an entire family healthy and provide an invaluable source of income as the extras can be sold at market. Kitchen Garden gift in action

Jennifer Nolan, Malawi, 2016

Marita Kafera tends to her life-changing kitchen garden in Nkhotakota, Malawi. As a mother of seven children, she often struggled to find nutritious food to give her children so they mainly ate okra to fill their stomachs. But okra doesn't contain many nutrients and sadly two of her children became malnourished. Concern gave her the seeds to grow spinach, mustard, tomatoes and onions, so she would always have a good variety of food at hand. Since then, both her garden and children are thriving.

This gift goes towards our Livelihoods programme.
