The irrigation scheme that Philipo Mkuye and his neighbours have built, with Concern's help, has improved the lives of over 2000 people. 'We used to have hunger every year. Now we grow several crops and selling the surplus means we are able to get an income and use it for exercise books, uniforms, and other contributions in school.'
