Help feed a family for a year!
By shelling out for six chickens you can help feed a family all year round. One chicken can lay up to 200 eggs a year, which provides food. By selling the surplus eggs or by hatching chicks throughout the year, a family can earn money for other necessities.

Doreen Kamfoso is one of the members of the group Tiyese in Malawi, which was set up with the help of Concern. The group bought chickens and Linda Doreen's 14-year-old daughter agrees that the chickens have improved their lives. "The money we get from the eggs has made it easier to buy things we need, like soap or sugar. With the fertiliser our maize and rice crops were very good this year, we have a lot of food in the store and I don't think we'll be hungry like before. We are all happier now."
