When war ended in Burundi in 2005, the way opened for education to start again – but schools were desperately poor and ill equipped. Schoolbooks were hard to find, and sets of matching books like gold dust. This Gift will supply precious sets of textbooks in French (one of the country’s two official languages) for children who are eager to learn.
