Milk and more!

Quantity:

For a family living in poverty, owning a cow not only means a steady supply of calcium-rich milk and plenty of manure, it's also a valuable asset which can help farmers make more of their land and eventually will give a precious calf too. So it's a way to both feed the family and earn a living. Good moos.

Sadia Hossain/Bangladesh/2016

Jaifol Bibi lives in Bangladesh with her two sons, a daughter-in-law, two grandsons and a granddaughter. After her husband passed away, hunger and malnutrition plagued the family, until they were helped by Concern. Jaifol received cash support and some livestock and, over the next 4 years, she worked hard every day and transformed her family's life. She now owns two cows and plans to grow her farm in the future. She says "A little help really goes a long way!"
